In the meantime, Area 142 of the Code has been made efficient by the Central Federal government w.e.f. 03.05.2024. This area attends to developing the identity of an employee/person via Aadhar for use solutions and seeking advantages under the Code or rules/schemes framed under it. Establishing identification through Aadhar can be mandatorily applicable just when benefits, solutions, etc are availed under that Code. Given that other stipulations of the CoSS 2024 consisting of stipulations connected to the PF Scheme/benefits and so on are yet to be executed, the demand of Aadhar for availing advantages, and so on (Area 142 of CoSS) under the existing PF Plan may not be made necessary, particularly throughout these pandemic times. Lately, the ESI Company after inquiring from the Ministry of Work & Employment did not make linking of Aadhar numbers as a required pre-requisite for availing the advantages.
